The Steck Panel Shaper Kit is an air hammer driven set that consists of three self-lubricating nylon reinforced heads that allow technicians to reach deep areas and bring deformed parts back to their original shape. Each kit contains three unique nylon head shapes with arbors. This allows each tool to be attached to your air hammer to fix body lines, concave areas, and flat surfaces.
How does each of the three heads work?
- Chisel Head: best used for fender edges, doors, corner shaping and body lines
- Rounded Head: helps in straightening out quarter panels and wheel houses
- Flat Head: helps in straightening out trunk floors, and assists in providing stress relief in the repair process
The Panel Shaper provides the necessary vibration along the damaged frame area to provide stress relief and molecular realignment in the frame structure. This kit is also capable of allowing you to custom shape patch panels along with fabricated panels. You can also customize heads by grinding them to a specific angle and shape necessary to perform a particular repair. Each head lasts ten work hours in any typical repair process. Unlike traditional hammer repair, the Panel Shaper saves technician arm fatigue and hours of repair time.
