FC710 is a 4.23 VOC high solids, urethane clearcoat designed for spot and multi panel repairs. This clearcoat works well in air dry or force dry environments and provide excellent gloss, DOI, leveling, blending, and buffing characteristics
Professional automobile painters vouch for the fact that clearcoat is essential and can give your car the ultimate glossy look. In addition to aesthetics, the clearcoat is necessary to provide protection from ultraviolet rays and the sun. These are the primary causes of paint fades. With clearcoat on your automobile, you can buff out shallow surface defects without causing harm to the paint. Clearcoat can also ensure that your repair and maintenance works are made a lot easier.
How to best apply clearcoat?
After the color paint is down, you must bring out the clearcoat. Apply two coats, enabling each coat to flash to hand-slick between coats. You can also opt for wet-on-wet 'limited flash' application by allowing 2-5 minute flash between coats. You will have to adjust the air pressure to HVLP 8 -10 psi and Conventional 50-60 psi.
