The 3M S.M.A.R.T. Bumper Stand is designed to securely hold plastic bumper facias (or bumper covers) in place during the repair and coating process. The product features two high-strength spring clamps with dowel pins for positive anchoring. These clamps are mounted on a ball and socket and can be articulated and locked in place with threaded locking knobs.
The clamps on the 3M bumper repair stand are located at the outer end of steel tube arms, which rotate 360 degrees and slide in and out on a cross shaft. The cross shaft is mounted to a square frame and is laterally adjustable along the length of the side members of the frame. The frame pivots 90 degrees on two uprights that support the bumper at a convenient working height. The uprights are connected to a bottom frame, which has four locking caster wheels allowing easy transport on the shop floor.
