The 3m Perfect-It III-Trizact System is an easy, and fast, solution to Spot and Small Panel Repairs. Follow these 4 easy steps and your panel will be as good as new.  

Step 1

1a: Sanding

To remove nibs, runs, or sags Sand with DA.

3M™ Hookit™ II Finishing Film Discs Grade P1200, PN 30667

1b: Sanding Refinements

Scratch refinement and texture matching

Sand with DA and 3M™ Hookit™ II Soft Interface Pad, PN 05771

Optional step: for reduced compounding use 3M™ Trizact™ Hookit™ Foam Discs Grade P3000, PN 02085

Step 2

For fresh (soft) clear coats

Buff to remove sand scratches completely.

• 3M™ Superbuff™ III Buffing Pad, PN 05704
• 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Rubbing Compound, PN 39060

OR

For cured (hard) clear coats

Buff to remove sand scratches completely.

• 3M™ Superbuff™ III Buffing Pad, PN 05704
• 3M™ Perfect-It™ III Extra Cut Rubbing Compound, PN 06061

Step 3

To remove swirl marks

Apply medium pressure.

To polish
Apply light pressure. Suggested buffer speed: 1800 RPMs.

Step 4

4a: Paint Protection

Apply finishing glaze
Make one pass with DA. Do one panel at a time.

4b: Wiping Clean

Wipe clean immediately
